Musicians in Denver as Convention ends

Locals will be hoping the end of the Democratic Convention in Denver will not see a total disappearance of celebrities from the city. Amongst those performing at the Convention have been the rapper Kanye West and actor Jammie Foxx who performed a duet on stage. Mellissa Etheridge was also on stage on Wednesday with a song medley.

Sheryl Crow played Red Rocks, just outside the city, before the opening day of the Convention as well as performing before Brack Obama's acceptance speech. Stevie Wonder was also on stage before former Vice President Al Gore's speech.

Two film stars who have supported liberal causes were also in town for a lunch - Annette Bening and Susan Sarandon. Meanwhile, late into the night, Ben Affleck is reported to have won his celebrity poker tournament which featured a hundred participants.
